Leaving On A Jet Plane
Posted on 01.27.10 to Personal, Travels by JoanAm at the airport now, after the slowest taxi ride in the world. Checked in. Waiting for my friend. Just had Ya Kun’s kaya butter toast.
I can’t believe I’m going on vacation, even though a mentally enduring one. I can’t believe, either, that I’m actually going to climb a mountain!
My bag is of manageable weight (now!) but I’m definitely going to hire a porter there. As my doctor said, ‘nothing sissy about it’.
I am also nervous about not being plugged into the internet. A world without blogging, twitter, facebook and flickr. Yikes. It would be cool though, if I could tweet amongst the clouds!
