During Clare’s first day of school, orientation day 1, one of Clare’s classmates coughed right into her face, within 10cm. I knew that she was a goner and that she would be ill because of that. And I was right. All through the school holidays, none of us fell ill, even during the week I had perpetually no sleep, working tirelessly on a TV show. Over the past few days, Clare and I have both been ill and I was literally bedridden with a fever and bodyaches.

I’ve posted this on Twitter and Facebook, and I am going to put it here for posterity’s sake:

Parents, PLEASE KEEP YOUR SICK CHILDREN AT HOME. Bringing them to school when they are ill is just a guarantee that your kids will fall sick again in a few weeks after the germs go hopping from one child to another.

I’m feeling heaps better, but I still have a slight fever. I’m hoping that I would hold out for my 14 hour shoot day tomorrow, starting at 5:45am.
