Climber

Looking through her Dora the Explorer magnifying glass.
I spoke of Clare’s independence recently. Not only does she know how to entertain herself, she gets what she wants and thinks of creative ways to get them.
She must have seen something on the shelf on the changing table that she wanted.
“Mummy, can you help me, please?”
“Where are you?”
“Here!”
I nearly had a heart attack when I found her, but was also thankful that she was smart enough to call for my help when she wasn’t sure how to get down. I should have told her that since she knew how to get up, she ought to know how to get down.
This isn’t the first time she’s climbing things without supervision either. She once climbed into her high chair to help herself to dinner!
Now, how to further drill into this stubborn little monkey that she shouldn’t be pulling dangerous stunts like that?
Btw, the organ behind her is up for sale. Any takers?

She is at an age where that is fairly appropriate behavior and its time for you to start setting limits as well. that said, i guess any hanging surfaces where she can climb on to should be removed. good luck!
only children learn independence very quickly – i’m one myself and i’ve been having discussions with my friends who are only children as well. i remember being like her at my age. i love your photography btw! been lurking your page for a while.
