Cockroach Skidding
Posted on 04.16.09 to Travels by JoanI like outdoor toilets, only when [a] I am on holiday; [b] I am the only one using the toilet. I had a run-in with a cockroach last night. It was hiding in my towel, and it fell out when I put it on my head. It fluttered at my left ear and skidded down my unclothed body.
Needless to say, I was super traumatised. I felt like Nell, from the eponymous movie, where I jumped back straight into the tub, crouched there while trying to recover from the ordeal and gave myself a super hot bath again. My friend heard my screech and came into the toilet, and tried to kill the cockroach which I had trapped under my towel.
I still shudder when I think of the ordeal, and I feel like cutting my ear off. ARGH! And I spent the whole night fending off mosquitoes and freaking out each time I hear them buzzing at my ear.
Other than that, I’m having a pleasant time in Bali. I visited a kindergarten and an orphanage today; and went for a massage. Bliss.

Just as I was reading your blog entry out of the corner of my eye I spotted a HUUUGE cockroach traipsing about in my room. Im traumatised enough just by looking at them I can’t imagine having one flutter about on my head! I hate them so much!

Worst still if u had your your hair permed. The lizard landed on my newly permed hair and was trapped there until hubby came and took it out, gross !
Btw, u have any recommendation for background music that is suitable for photo slide show ?
