HP Pavilion dv2 Entertainment Notebook PC Launch
Posted on 03.26.09 to Technology by Joan
I was invited to attend the launch of HP’s newest laptop, the HP Pavilion dv2 Entertainment Notebook PC, organised by Edelman. This was my first time at Supperclub, having been wanting to patronise that place with my friends for a while now. The interior’s pretty interesting with rows of giant sofas and cushions for one to lounge on.

Oh boy, does my leg need some sun or what?! It looks dead actually.
I arrived with Howard at the event, and joined Yu-Mei who was already watching a demonstration of the laptop. Adele joined soon after and it was a lovely afternoon with friends, meeting new people and enjoying some rather interesting canapés (I had a weak spot for the fois gras scallop with mango sauce).

In a nutshell, the Pavilion dv2 Entertainment Notebook aims to provide a high-performance computer that is portable and very affordable. It is a rather light computer at 1.64kg and just 1-inch thin. It has a large hard drive (500GB) for you to store all your entertainment sources and the 12.1″ LED display makes it comfortable for viewing movies.
For $1299, I think it’s a steal. But personally, since I already have a main laptop that I work off on, I much prefer having the HP Mini to bring around for some light surfing, replying emails and making presentations (when I can finally find a cable for either VGA or DVI output).
(Note: Pictures of the HP were kindly provided by Edelman, not by me, unfortunately.)

I went to an HP Launch @ Supperclub « Talk nineteen to the dozen added these pithy words on Mar 30 09 at 1:05 AMHi,
I happened to find your site while browsing for HP Desktop deals.
Just wondering if you can let me know how I can be contacted for HP’s Launches? I am a fan of HP actually… I think they produce reliably good hardwares.
Hear from you soon!
