Photo Filler – Wanderlust

These pictures were taken in Shanghai in May 2005, during a quick getaway with my parents before my wedding. I miss my trips to China, even though all but one were for work (and was usually quite miserably busy with preparations).
Shanghai’s special to me because it has my favourite dish in the entire world. Unfortunately, each time I go there, I get too excited with tucking in, I always forget to take a picture. It’s a crab dish with meet already removed from the shell, fried with roe and you mix it up with sweet and sour vinegar. I’ve also established an eating routine during each trip, which was set by a dear friend/ex-colleague who brought me on his rounds during our trip there (the first for me) – crab, dumpling, french patisserie.
I do want to go there again, maybe to Beijing this time, because I just have to see the wall.
