ADV: Huggies Ultra
Posted on 11.10.08 to Advertorial by JoanI’m a very brand loyal person. When I find something that works for me, I usually stick to it fiercely unless I am proven wrong.
When I gave birth to Clare, we receive a multitude of baby care packages that included an assortment of baby diapers. After trying them all out, we eventually settled for a brand that worked best for us then — all because it used very sticky adhesive to keep the diaper together, which I liked very much.
So I’ve been using that particular brand for the past two years, till Huggies came along with the Ultra diapers. My first impression of the diaper was that it was lighter and slimmer than the ones I normally use. Obviously, Clare had no problem with that either.
What I like about these Huggies Ultra diapers is that it’s clinically proven to help prevent diaper rash. Which actually comes at a good time for me because I’ve decided to stop applying diaper cream on Clare too often, chemicals and all.
Clare would, on the occasion, get diaper rash. Particularly so when we get sloppy in remembering when her last diaper change was. So I am actually quite fastidious about applying diaper cream. Huggies Ultra has added security to prevent her from getting a nasty diaper rash and I don’t have to apply diaper cream anymore.
Also, because the diaper has an ultra absorbent pad that locks away wetness and holds it in for more than 12 hours, I don’t have to worry about Clare drinking too much water before bed-time and then dirtying the bed. It does happen sometimes, especially if she has a much earlier night than usual.
I like this diaper. One thing I discuss with other mummies about diapers with, is that we always look out for diapers that are comfortable, fit well and do the job well. Huggies Ultra seems more comfortable and even though it’s a little more expensive than most, it is of fairly good quality. So put it this way — it has premium absorbency which therefore translates to fewer diaper changes. In the long run, the cost evens out, makes sense, no?
