Last Night in Bali
Posted on 10.19.08 to Travels by JoanIt’s our last night in Bali. I’m chilling out by the bar at the pool, which is tres awesome. There’s something really nice listening to the sounds of nature, sometimes.
We had a full day of doing nothing today, except to eat, eat and eat (I’ve got my holiday tummy on!). We ventured out to the shopping strip in Ubud and lasted all of half an hour before it got way too hot and stuffy in the shops.
We then came back for a swim and I napped by the pool before heading back to the room to veg out in front of the telly.
Dinner was at this restaurant called ‘Dirty Duck’ which serves the most delicious crispy duck for just SGD10. We had dinner there the first night, courtesy of the couple. The roast pig was the best I’ve ever eaten – it was so succulent.
The day was perfect except for the fact that I got bitten by a bloody big black ant that was hiding in the sheets.
I took less than 20 pictures, methinks. Sorry, not working here. ;)

I like your picture with the rainbow-looking light. :) I had a holiday in Bali in Sept — it’s a pretty special place.
