Bali Day 2
Posted on 10.18.08 to Travels by JoanWe are here in Bali. It’s beautifully sunny today, despite the fact that it rained last night.
We are staying at the Uma Ubud, which is a beautiful resort hotel with individual villas as rooms. We’ve got a cute patio with two arm chairs that overlook a pretty view of treetops. I made plans to wake up early and read there, but the four poster bed was too comfortable to give up a sleep-in.
Another plus of this hotel is that they’ve got two gorgeous golden retrievers walking around, charming the guests. Sandy and Sam are 3.5 years and are from the same litter. They stole our family’s hearts as they’ve got the same names as my in-laws’ dogs.
It’s Clare’s 2nd birthday today. So she’s getting what she wants today, including getting away with her monkey antics. Well, it does help that I’ve got my in-laws to help me babysit her too.
I just finished a delicious breakfast of eggs and a refreshing juice blend of coconut, papaya, mango and passionfruit. On top of that, I have free wifi at the restaurant. Bliss.
