Ironically, one of my favorite photos taken so far, of the trip, is a picture of my hotel taken on the evening I arrived. It’s ironic because the hotel’s h.o.r.r.i.b.l.e. But I’m surviving.

take comfort in knowing that the majority of hotels in New York are not great. Perhaps they feel that there is so much to see and do that people don’t spend much time in their rooms?!

most new york hotels suck. unless if you live in the super expensive featured in movies types of hotels (think 4 seasons…)
nice hotels at reasonable (is there even such a word to describe New York??) are the boutique hotels that are small and cater to business travellers who travel a lot.
at any rate, i hope you are having fun and that the weather in NY has gotten better.

Count yourself lucky to be staying in manhattan on copmany expense. Accomodation in NY is expensive. My friend can only afford to stay in the Queens area. She got freaked out everyday just to commute into the city.
yeah, since the hotel suck, just spend more time seeing the city. Why stay in the room when it’s more exciting out there? :)
