You discovered three new things this month:

Television
Toys
Food

This is how you look when you watch television these days:

You love watching the Baby Einstein series, especially enjoying the music of Beethoven and Mozart accompanied by the images of other babies. You show your pleasure by laughing at specific points of the show which is highly amusing for us, your parents, to watch.

On a side note, I’m really grateful for the creators of Baby Einstein and the fact that you enjoy it, because it gives me a break from entertaining you once in a while. You’re never content to lie around, staring at the ceiling and you’re always needing something to keep you occupied.

Which is why, I’m thankful that you’re finally beginning to notice your toys! You can manage sitting up unaided for a while now and you know how to use your hands to grab your toys, fling them about and put them in your mouth, of course. You do get cheeky at times and fling yourself backwards so that you land on the pillows with much aplomb, while grinning at me. We also have some fun with you too:

And lastly, you’ve started eating some solids. You love your rice cereal and are just beginning to get your first taste of pureed apple. You’ll get really impatient if I’m feeding you too slowly! I can’t wait till you can start eating with you because I’m pretty sure you’ll be as much of a foodie as your father and I are. By the way, you still hate drinking milk from the bottle which still frustrates me.

You’ve also started noticing our dog Thunder and would laugh when you’re playing with him – you squeal with MUCH DELIGHT especially when chasing him. It warms my heart to see you taking onto him so well, and him to you too.

You’ve been a wonderful baby. You’re always smiling and laughing. And although you can’t say it, I know that you love me loads, just as much as I love you.
